Attend a Hub
This August, more than 25,000 people will gather in Mexico City to attend the XVII International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2008). This is the largest medical conference in the world, but nonetheless, many will not be able to make it to Mexico for money or time constraints.
AIDS 2008 is proud to introduce the Conference Hubs, where people from around the world can gather and watch selected sessions of the conference on a screen, possibly followed by a moderated discussion to analyze the local implications of the content.
Of course, attending a hub will not offer all the international exposure of the conference and the overwhelming choice of sessions (up to 24 sessions in parallel...), but in truth, we suspect that many of you will prefer the intimate size of the hubs. With 30-500 people, it's easier to forge connections, and they are guaranteed to be local.
And the best: all hubs are completely free to attend!
