Watering Schedule: The City of Pleasanton watering schedule is shown below. During the mandatory stages of this plan, watering with irrigation system or hose-end sprinklers is prohibited between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.. October 10, 2014:
Republic will now be providing a recycle pick up service. This service will be every other Wednesday beginning October 22, 2014. Items that can be placed in the recycling bins will include:
CANS-CLEAN ALUMINUM, TIN/STEEL CONTAINERS.
CARDBOARD-CLEAN BOXES, CLEAN BOX STUFFERS, ENVELOPES, DRINK CONTAINERS.
NEWSPAPER-CLEAN, DRY, UNSOILED NEWSPAPER.
PLASTIC- PETE & HDPE CONTAINERS (MILK JUGS * SOFT DRINK CONTAINERS)
ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS!!!
Also, if you do not want your old recycle bin, you may place it inside the new recycle bin and it will be picked up.

Notice is hereby given that two public hearings will be held by the Pleasanton City Council for the purpose of considering annexation of approximately 74.8± acres of land located generally north of Goodwin Ave. at FM 3510 between Pulliam Dr. and Woodland Dr., in the City’s extraterritorial jurisdiction. The first public hearing will be held November 5, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. and the second meeting will be held on November 12, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. Both hearings will be held in the City Council Chambers, 108 Second Street, Pleasanton, Texas. All interested parties are hereby notified and invited to appear and be heard concerning the proposed annexation.

The Pleasanton Fire Department is giving away free smoke alarms to residents of the City of Pleasanton. They will come in and install the smoke alarms in all sleeping areas and hallways of your residence. To schedule an installation please call (830) 569-2813.
February 17, 2016
The City Council approved to reduce the cost of 1” irrigation water taps from $2,000.00 to $1,250.00.
This cost reduction will only be in effect from February 1 thru April 15 for the years of 2016, 2017, and 2018.
With this special, there will be NO payment plans and the 1” irrigation tap will only be accompanied with a 1” residential irrigation meter.
Customers who wish to purchase an irrigation tap should see Megan Caballero in the Community Development Department who will guide customers through the procedure to purchase the tap

BRUSH/BULKY TRASH PICK-UP
STARTS JULY 18, 2016
The City appreciates the cooperation of our residents in keeping Pleasanton beautiful and reminds everyone that:
- Piles shall not be place at curbside more than 2 weeks prior to the pick-up dates as stated below.
- No more than 10 cubic yards piles per Residential Unit; residents shall/may be subject to charges over 10 cubic yards (Length x Width x Height = 270 cubic feet = 10 cubic yards)
- Items excluded from pick-up are: Hazardous Waste, Large Dead Animals, and Special Waste.
- Piles shall be placed free from any obstacle that will prevent pick-up such as overhead power lines and low branches.
- Residents wanting to combine piles shall notify the Community Development Services Dept. prior to pick-up to be placed on a list and prevent additional charges for having more than 10 cubic yards as a single location (Contact: Jesse Flores at 830-569-3867 ext.223).
AREA 1: *** July 18-29 for the area West of Bryant St. and North of Oaklawn Street (Set-out bulky waste starts on July 4) *** AREA 2: July 25 thru July 29 for the area west of Hwy. 281 to Bryant St. and South of Goodwin (Set-out bulky waste starts on July 11) *** AREA 3: August 1st-5th for the areas East of Hwy. 281 and North of the Industrial Park (Set-out bulky waste starts July 18).
